Act 1: Outer Frame Introduction

(Story Element Cards: The Maverick, The Escapist, Downtown Market, and Science Fiction)

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away...

Crowds. Drinks. Laughter. Lust. For one reason or another, these are all things Prince hates. That’s precisely why he sits alone in his dark corner booth in the Dash Cantina. And because it’s his prime spot to stay low after scoring a bounty. Nevertheless, he despises every moment of it. Being surrounded by the laundry list of things he wishes never existed. The only thing that matters to Prince? Boe.

“Hey, don’t I know you from somewhere?” chuckles a man, plopping two of his four arms down on the table.

“No,” replies a stone-cold Prince, “you don’t.” Clearly taken aback by the mysterious man’s tone, the alien continues on his way, taking sips of his two fluorescent drinks all the while.

“How are we going to get off this rock if you keep scaring everybody away?” a voice calls out next to Prince.

“Boe, no talking,” Prince says and taps one of the pockets on his jacket.

Before Prince could finish scolding Boe, his phone screen lit up, which could only mean one thing - a new job.
